The Assistant Village Engineer will plan, organize, and conduct complex civil engineering assignments in the Department of Public Works with on-site support and supervision from the Director of Public Works/Village Engineer.  This new position will be an integral member of the Village’s leadership team and operate dynamically in both internal and external arenas.  The Assistant Village Engineer will work alongside a seasoned and dedicated team in the Department of Public Works, while exchanging information with exceptionally knowledgeable staff in the Community Development Department and our accredited Police Department.  The position will coordinate with IEPA, MWRD, IDOT, and Cook/DuPage Counties, for co-permitting reviews, audits, and general professional correspondence.  Communicating the Village’s goals, progress, costs, and outcomes of the above will be paramount for this position to the Department, various stakeholders, advisory committees, the Village Board, and a citizenry that values true professionals.
