Description
Designed for both new floodplain administrators as well as a refresher course for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs). The session will cover floodplain management concepts, basic FEMA mapping, map changes, State of Illinois floodway regulations, state and local floodplain permit requirements, flood insurance, CRS, and mitigation. Course instructors will be floodplain management and permitting staff from IDNR/OWR, mapping staff from ISWS, and NFIP specialists from FEMA.
Course instructors will stay after the workshop to provide individual assistance to those taking the CFM Exam on Tuesday evening.
